ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 12th July, 2016

F.No. 2-2/D-NSQF/U.S Infra/2016.—In exercise of its powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 23 read with Section 10 and Section 11 of the All India Council for Technical Education Act, 1987 (52 of 1987) frames “All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) (1st Amendment) Regulations, 2012. This amendment is being made in the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Regulations, 2012, which had been notified in the Gazette of India on 27.09.2012 under File No. 37-3/Legal/AICTE/2012.

These Regulations may be called “All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) (1st Amendment) Regulations, 2012” and will deem to have come into force with effect from the date of publication in the Gazette of India.

The provisions contained in the Clause 4 (4.1) shall stand amended and the following Sub-clause may be added as under:

4.1 g. To run courses of any other Regulatory Body by using existing facilities, or by creating additional facilities as per the provisions laid down in the norms & standards of the respective Regulatory Body without affecting the quality of education prescribed by both Regulatory Bodies after taking prior approval of the Council.
