Special Package for Bihar
The Government has announced that it will construct and upgrade National Highways including major bridges with an approximate cost of Rs 50000 Crore in the state of Bihar. The details of the projects are given below:
|1.||Works under different phases of National Highways Development Project (NHDP) –
4- laning of Patna-Buxar section of NH 30& 84, Bakhtiyarpur-Khagaria section and a New 4-laned bridge across river Ganga at Mokama of NH-31, Biharsharif – Mokama section of NH-82, Forbesganj-Jogbani section of NH-57A, 2-laning with paved shoulder of Gopalganj – Chhapra section of NH-85, 2-laning with paved shoulder of Chhapra – Muzaffarpur of NH-102, Maheshkhunt-Saharsa-Purnia section of NH-107, Development of Manjholi-Charaut section of NH-527 C, Patna Ring Road, Kishanganj Bypass on NH-31
|2.||Works under National Highways Interconnectivity Improvement Projects –
Fatua-Harnaut-Barh section of NH-30A, Sheohar-Sitamarhi-Jaynagar-Narahiya of NH-104, Birpur-Bihpur section of NH-106, Bridge across Kosi river on NH-106
|3.||Works under JICA loan assistance-
4 laning of Patna – Gaya – Dobhi section of NH 83, Gaya-Hisua-Rajgir-Nalanda-Biharsharif section of NH-82.

Widening & Strengthening to 2 lane with paved shoulder from km 25.00 to km 97.00 of NH-28B, from km. 0.00 to 10.903 of NH-133, from km. 0.00 to 25.010 of NH-327A, from Km. 93.612 to Km. 98.000 of NH-327E, Construction of Bhagalpur Bypass NH-80, 4-laning of Munger-Mirzachowki section of NH-80, Development to 2-lane with paved shoulder of sections on NH-2C, NH-81, NH-99 and NH-527A.

A new 4-laned bridge on river Ganga parallel to existing MG Setu, Bridge on river Ganga connecting Manihari in Bihar to Sahibganj in Jharkhand, Bridge over river Sone connecting Panduka(Nauhata) on NH-2C in Bihar and Shrinagar(Garhwa District) in Jharkhand
|7.||ROB/RUBs under Setu Bharatam-
20 nos. of ROBs and RUBs on different National Highways in the State of Bihar
|8.||Improving Connectivity of Places of Religious Importance and Bharatmala Pariyojna proposed-
Rampur Khajuriya (NH 28)-Kesaria end onNH-722, Uchhait Bhagawati Sthaan to Mahishi Tara Sthaan, Raxaul – Sonbersa, Chakia – Bairgania
|9.||Development of New National Highway –
436 km newly declared National Highways and proposed National Highway connecting Buxar on NH-84 – Chausa-Ramgarh-Mohania on NH-2 (64km) in the State of Bihar.
