Aadhaar OTP for e-verification of ITR not working temporarily

Aadhaar OTP for e-verification of income tax return is not working and temporarily unavailable, will be enabled shortly says ITD

Since yesterday, the Aadhaar based OPT EVC option had not been appearing in income tax e-filing website which baffled many.

As per Income Tax e-filing website advisory, due to technical issues, Aadhaar OTP for e-verification is temporarily unavailable. It will be enabled shortly.

The taxpayer have been advised to use the other options to e-Verify the Returns.

It has been further stated that e-Verification can be done upto 120 days from filing of ITR so the Aadhaar OTP option can be exercised as soon as it is enabled.

Till then Return can be e-Verified using Net Banking, Pre-Validated Bank Account and Pre-Validated Demat Account
