Axis Bank Cheque Book Request

I want to request for a cheque book for my Savings Account. How do I do it?

  1. SMS– SMS <CHQBK> space <last 6 digits of your account no.> to 5676782 from your registered mobile number. (For e.g. – CHQBK 123456)
  2. Axis Mobile App –Select Banking >> Click on Services >> Click on Savings / Current Account >> Click on New Cheque Book
  3. Internet Banking–  Select Cheque Book Request through Request For option under Services >> Select Account Number & No. of Leaves >> Enter NetSecure Code received through SMS

Visit Axis Bank / Access Internet Banking? click here 

  1. ATM –Visit your nearest Axis Bank ATM

Please note charges will be applicable for a cheque book, if you request for another / additional cheque book in the same quarter.

I am unable to request for a cheque book through Internet Banking. What could be the reason?

This could be because:

  1. Account would not have been 6 months since opening
  2. More than 40 unused cheque leaves remaining in the current cheque book
  3. Account category does not have cheque book facility
  4. Contact details changed in the last 1 month

While requesting for a cheque book I am shown an error that you have already requested for a cheque book today? How can I order another cheque book via mobile banking?

In a single day only one cheque book can be requested, you need to come back to application the next day to request for another.

How can I stop payment of a cheque?

You will only be able to stop unpaid cheques using the below options:

  1. Axis Mobile app:Login into mobile app>>Request Menu>>Cheque status/Stop cheque.
  2. Internet banking:Login into internet>>Stop cheque request-Single/Multiple cheque>>Search cheque no>>Stop payment.
  3. SMS:STOPCHQ<6 digit of Cheque No.> <Last 6 digit of the A/c No.> <3 digit reason code>

(Reason Code – 019 – Cheque Book lost,020 – Cheque Book Mutilated, 021 – Cheque Book stolen, 022 – Cheque forged, 023 – Cheque lost, 018 – Cheque Book not received, 016 – Others and 017 – Wrong amount spelt)
