A person wishing to obtain PAN can apply for PAN by submitting the PAN application form (Form 49A/49AA) along with the related documents and prescribed fees at the PAN application center of UTIITSL or NSDL.

Forms to Apply PAN Card 

Click to Download Form 49A : Application for PAN is to be made in Form 49A (in the case of Indian Citizen/Indian Companies/Entities incorporated in India/Unincorporated entities formed in India)

Click to Download Form 49AA ; Application for PAN is to be made in Form 49AA (in the case of individual not being a citizen of India/Entities incorporated outside India/Unincorporated entities formed outside India).

Click to Download Form No. INC-7  : In case of an applicant, being a company which has not been registered under the Companies Act, 2013, the application for allotment of a Permanent Account Number may be made in Form No. INC-7 specified under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the said Act for incorporation of the company.​

 Charges  to be paid to apply PAN Card  :

​​The charges for applying for PAN online have been increased w.e.f. 15.11.2015 to Rs. 107 (including service tax) for Indian communication address and Rs. 989 (including service tax) for foreign communication address.

Change / Correction of PAN Card

Requests for changes or correction in PAN data or request for reprint of PAN card (for an existing PAN) may also be made through Internet.

Payment of application fee can be made through credit/debit card or net-banking. Once the application and payment is accepted, the applicant is required to send the supporting documents through courier/post to NSDL/UTITSL. Only after the receipt of the documents, PAN application would be processed by NSDL/UTITSL.

As per RBI guidelines, the entities making e-commerce transactions are required to provide PIN (Personal Identification Number) while executing an online transaction. Therefore, before making payment for online PAN/TAN applications using credit card / debit card / net banking, applicant is required to obtain PIN from Banks whose credit card/debt card/net banking is being used.

Proof to Apply PAN Card if Office Address is selected for communication

For New PAN applications, in case of Individual and HUF applicants if Address for Communication is selected as Office, then Proof of Office Address along with Proof of residential address is to be submitted to NSDL w.e.f. applications made on and after 1st November 2009.

Apply PAN card and Track Status of PAN card :-

Applicant will receive an acknowledgment containing a unique number on acceptance of the application form. This acknowledgement number can be used for tracking the status of the application by using the track status facility available at above web sites.
