Steps to Register DSC on MCA portal
Professionals were facing lots of issues while registering DSC on MCA portal. So, here are the settings to register DSC on the portal:
MCA DSC SELETION SETTINGS
Please Follow Exact Settings Provided Below To enable DSC Selection Window:
I. Browser Verification:
Use Only Internet Explorer Version-9 or Above
1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking on the Image shown below.
2. Go to settings (click on Wheel button)
3. Select “About Internet Explorer”.
Proceed to next Step if the Above Screens are Visible.
If not Kindly Update the Internet Explorer version to 9 or above.
Step-2: Java Version Verification:
1. Uninstall Java Currently in the System.

2. Download Java Version 8 and Update 92 from the below link.
3. Click on Accept License Agreement
4. Click on Windows x86 – jdk-8u92-windows-i586.exe only
5. Install the Downloaded JDK.
Note: Download Only JDK specified but not JRE
Restart the System after Installation AND proceed with Step-3
Step-3:
1. Go to Start-> Type “Configure Java” to get Java Control Panel
2. On General Tab click on setting button. On the new pop up window click on Delete Files button.
3. Check all the 3 options and click Ok.
4. Click on Security Tab. For Java 8, Change the security level to High (). Click on apply button.
5. Now, Click on “Edit Site List”
6. Add http://www.mca.gov.in and click on “ADD” button and Continue when prompt.
7. Add http://mca.gov.in and click on “ADD” button and Continue when prompt.
8. Click on “Apply” and finally click on “OK” button.
Step 4
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to Tools->Internet Options
3. Click on Tab “Security”
4. Click on “Trusted Sites”
5. Click on “Sites”
6. Uncheck the Check box “Require server verification https: for all sites this zone”
7. In the Add this website to the zone : Add http://www.mca.gov.in and click on Add
8. Again add http://mca.gov.in and click on Add
9. Click on Close
Step-5:
1. Make Sure You are using Windows operating System only
2. Make sure OS version should be Windows 7/8/8.1/10
Step-6:
1. Click on My computer /Computer ->Go to properties by right click and properties
2. Go to “Advanced System Settings” link available at the Left corner
3. Go to tab “Advanced”
4. Click on “Environmental Variables”
5. Click on “New”
6. Add Variable Name as “JAVA_HOME”
7. Add Variable Value the path of installed JDK
Ex: C:\Program Files\Java\ jdk1.8.0.92
Ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\ jdk1.8.0.92
(Ignore the Versions in screenshots. Please follow java 8 v-92 32 bit only)
8. In the section System Variables, find the “Path” environment variable and select it. Click Edit. If the PATH environment variable does not exist, click New. Append the path of your JDK wherever it resides up to bin after a semicolon to the variable value.
Ex: ; C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0.92\bin
Ex: ; C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0.92\bin
(Ignore the Versions in screenshots. Please follow java 8 v-92 32 bit only)
9. Click on Ok.
10. Click on Close
11. Open Internet Explorer
12. Type www.mca.gov.in
13. Click on Login
14. Check the Tab “External Agency/Bank/Nodal Officials/Business Users” Check Box
15. Wait for minimum 5-10 seconds (Some-times will take more than 40sec)
Step-8:
1. You will get a popup showing “Java Update Needed”
2. Check “Don’t Ask Again until the Next update is available” check box
3. Click on “Later”
4. Wait for 10-15 Seconds
5. Now click on Browse button
6. An applet will load like:
7.Check the “I accept the risk and want to run this application” check box
8. Click on “Run”
9. Note: You will get a DSC selection Window if DSC driver and DSC is installed in your System
10. Now Select the DSC Displayed in the Selection Menu
11. If DSC is not Installed /DSC token driver is not installed in your System you will face an error when click on Browse button as “Certificate has not been Selected/Token Not detected” error as below
Note: If you had come across the above error:
Kindly reinstall your DSC token driver and Install DSC in your System.
