Transfer Bank of India Account from one Branch to Other
Procedure for effecting Number Portability
i. Existing customer of any of Bank of India domestic branch can apply for transferring his/ her SB accounts from one branch to another branch as desired by the account holder .
ii. Account Holder can submit application either at transferor (New Branch where the account is proposed to be transferred) or at transferee branch (Existing Branch where the account holder is currently banking).
iii. Account Holder should submit New residential proof of address& other KYC documents as requested by the transferor branch.
iv. Account Holder should ensure that no cheques are pending in the existing account / mandate for ECS is properly changed to the transferor branch upon transfer of the account.
v. Number portability is applicable only to Saving Bang Accounts.
