India has bagged Gold Medal in Archery South Asian Games

India has bagged Gold Medal in the Compound Women match held today at the First Ground of the JN Sports Complex, Shillong.

Purvasha Sudhir Shinde, Jyoti Surekha Vennam, and Lily Chanu Paonam kept India at the top all the way through the match hitting the target with no less than seven, even through towards the last round they were seemingly shaken.

The lady archers of India scored a total of 228 points against their counterpart Bangladesh’s Shushma Banik, Tammanna Parvin, and Roksana Akter, who scored a total of 217 points.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh has bagged Bronze with 207 points after defeating Nepal who managed to score a close 197 points.

Also in the Compound Men Team Competition, Abhishek Verma, Rajat Chauhan, and Manash Jyoti Changmai have earned India a well deserved Gold Medal by defeating Bhutan 230 points against 219.
